Recently dialogue has opened up between the US and Cuba and work has begun to try to normalise relations. That said, there are still sanctions and a trade embargo in place between the US and Cuba and, therefore, Members need to exercise caution when considering trade with Cuba. It is also unclear to what extent the election of President Tump will reverse the thawing of relations.
