New South Korea Office for NorthStandard

NorthStandard has established a claims liaison subsidiary, NorthStandard Marine Consultants Korea Co., Ltd. in Seoul, South Korea, effective 1 April 2024. This decision reflects our commitment to provide strong service to our members, customers, and brokers in the region.

We look forward to embarking on this journey together with you and to build on our strong foundations in South Korea. Thank you for your continued trust and support as we take this step forward.

The new office location is headed by Shang Doe Shim, Claims Director – Asia Pacific. Shang Doe is a South Korean national who joined the club in 2008.  Before relocating to Seoul, he was based in NorthStandard’s Singapore office for sixteen years.
