Solid Bulk Cargoes: New Report Released on Dynamic Separation
Class NK and Rio Tinto have release a report on dynamic separation of solid bulk cargoes and the resulting free surface effect.
Titled “Safe Shipping of Solid Bulk Cargoes – Dynamic Separation & resulting Free Slurry Surface Effect”, the report follows research by the Global Bauxite Working Group which identified the moisture related cargo failure “Dynamic Separation”.
The report outlines how cargoes undergo dynamic separation and provides key messages in relation to the carriage of such cargos as well as references for further information.
