Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade Unveils New Kitchen
Mike Asherson, Catherine Doyle and Kim Heaselden joined Gill Lowing from the Community Foundation and volunteers from the Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade (TVLB) at their Watch House on Saturday 22 March for a Wine Tasting Evening to celebrate the refurbishment of the new kitchen following North’s grant of £10,000.
The TVLB, based at the Watch House on the Spanish Battery Headland in Tynemouth, is a coastal rescue service with a team of 25 volunteers who respond to an average of 120 incidents a year. The £10,000 grant has enabled the TVLB to greatly improve their kitchen facilities, which can now be used by both rescue crews and visitors to the attached museum.
