To assist our Members with their bridge team management, we have partnered with SureNav to offer a 45% discount on a package of five remote navigational audits.
We are committed to promoting safety and frequently analyse high-value admiralty claims that arise from collisions, groundings and other similar incidents. One of the most influential contributory factors to these incidents is a failure in bridge team management. SureNav’s remote navigation audits, which are conducted by experienced master mariners, will enable our Members to evaluate their compliance with procedures in the vessels’ safety management system.

SCORA - Safety Culture Organisational Assessment
North has partnered with safety consultancy Green-Jakobsen to develop an online safety culture self-assessment tool (SCORA) to assist Members in assessing and developing their safety practices and culture.
The assessment is built around a management level online survey for those managers, both ashore and afloat, who have a direct input into vessel safety and performance. The report generated from the survey provides an overview of the company’s organisational safety capacity in a number of key safety areas.

Many shipping companies are poorly equipped to evaluate their exposure to cyber risks and the resilience of their systems on board and ashore Reputable consultants who understand the complexities of both shipping and cyber are in short supply and expensive.
