Designation of Ports in Crimea - EU Sanctions
Further to our update of 17 July recommending that Members avoid ports in the Crimea, the European Union has by Regulation (EU) No 810/2014 of 25 July added to the list of persons, entities and bodies subject to the restrictive measures set out on Regulation (EU) No 269/2014.
In total, 15 individuals and 18 entities have been added. The additions include:
(1) State ferry enterprise “Kerch ferry”;
(2) State enterprise “Sevastopol commercial seaport”
(3) State enterprise ‘Kerch commercial sea port”
Pursuant to Regulation (EU) No 269/2014, all funds and economic resources belonging to, owned, held or controlled by these entities are frozen. No funds or economic resources shall be made available, directly or indirectly, to or for the benefit of these entities or bodies associated with them.
