The Sunshine Fund's Glass Slipper Awards - Woman of the Year
North Group is sponsoring an award at The Chronicle’s Sunshine Fund Glass Slipper Awards tomorrow (Friday 24 February) which recognises inspiring women from across the region in seven categories.
North is sponsoring the Woman of the Year category which recognises a woman who has achieved something amazing this year in business or the local community. We would like to wish the finalists in our category good luck:
Angela Conway
Having first been diagnosed with a brain tumour while at university, Angela then required surgery in December 2015. Angela shared her experiences from diagnosis to post-surgery and reached out to fellow patients globally. Read Angela’s blog at: www.braintumourwarrior.wordpress.com
Helen Corner
Since losing her beloved mother to cancer, Helen has dedicated her efforts to raising as much money as she can for St Cuthbert’s Hospice. Her efforts have seen her named a “hospice hero” – the only non-company to earn the status.
Lorraine Kane & Barbara Herold
Both women have spent the past 12 months raising thousands for the Sunshine Fund through the likes of table-top sales, work bake sales and trekking the Grand Canyon.
The Chronicle’s Sunshine Fund is a great initiative for the North East and North Group is very pleased to support it.
