Are you a qualified Actuary interested in joining our Financial Planning & Analysis team? Would you like to build a career within a global marine insurance company? If so then we’d love to hear from you!

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a reserving actuary to join and expand our Financial Planning & Analysis team. The position offers you the opportunity to lead on North Group’s quarterly reserve reviews and present the results of these reviews to the Group Reserving Committee, provide expert actuarial input which helps drive North’s financial planning and analysis and commercial pricing and use your actuarial expertise to develop our capital and risk management and regulatory position.

You’ll be a qualified actuary (IFoA) with relevant reserving experience post qualification, be able to demonstrate the ability to work to deadlines and be able to liaise and communicate effectively with internal and external partners.

What we can offer you

At North we’re passionate about your development. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys what they do and has a determined ‘can do’ attitude. In return we’ll offer you a rewarding career with the opportunity to build on your existing skills and knowledge.

We’ll also offer you some great benefits including a competitive salary, generous pension scheme, private health insurance, subsidised car parking and gym facilities to name a few.  If you’re looking for flexibility, we are able to accommodate part time working hours outside of key points during the year, such as quarter ends. There’s also the added bonus of our fantastic office on the Newcastle Quayside.
