忘记关闭货舱的灯可能会损坏货物, 但在更极端的情况下, 可能导致火灾。

新西兰运输事故调查委员会 (nz taic) 最近公布了其对一起货舱火灾事故的调查报告。

多用途集装箱船” kokopo chief”轮在关闭舱盖和在上面装载集装箱前，将包装过的木材装载在甲板之下。数小时后, 火灾探测系统向船员发出了4号货舱起火的警报。随后，船员激活了船上配备的二氧化碳 (co2) 灭火系统被，当地消防部门也做出了反应，并与船员合作对现场情况进行监控。

调查人员发现，火灾是由货舱灯发出的热量引起的，货舱的灯光点燃了堆放在灯附近的木材。装载完成后货舱灯未被关闭。

该报告的结论是, 对火灾的反应措施协调得很好, 但也确定了以下安全问题:

尽管此前发生过一起类似情况的事件, 但经营人的安全管理系统并没有完全减轻货舱照明引发火灾的风险
相关各方都没有明确记录和理解参与应对火灾的各个当局部门的责任
新西兰消防和应急情况培训标准没有充分涵盖应对船上火灾的特殊考虑因素
