Julie Cannell
Accounts Supervisor

Julie joined Newcastle P&I Association in October 1991 and is responsible for supervising the day to day running of the Accounts Department, as well as assisting in the production of statutory and management financial information.

Ray Childs
Accountant

After obtaining a degree from Durham University, Ray was employed as an auditor with Ernst & Young for four years, during which time he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He joined the Association in October 1994 and is responsible for the production of statutory and management financial information.

Ed Davies
Internal Auditor

Ed graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1999 (LLB) and qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte & Touche, with whom he spent four years. Ed also spent a short time with Arriva plc before joining North of England in February 2005. Ed is responsible for reviewing and auditing the Association's systems and controls.

Jeff O'Neill
Director NIML

Jeff is Price Waterhouse trained Chartered Accountant and first joined the Association in March 1993. He is responsible for the financial operations of the Association including accounting, systems, treasury, banking, credit control and investments.

Jackie Rourke
Credit Controller

Jackie joined the Association in 1984 and has worked within the Accounts Department for more than fifteen years. Jackie is responsible for liasing with Members/brokers to collect funds due and to answer any resulting queries.

Alan Wilson
Deputy Managing Director

Alan joined Binder Hamlyn as an Articled Clerk, before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1980. He has been with the Association since 1981 and his responsibilities include administration, financial affairs, investments and IT.
