RSS Feeds

North operates a number of regularly updated news & information feeds.

What is RSS?

RSS allows websites to syndicate new content. You can get the latest headlines and articles from multiple sources in one place, as soon as they are published. There is some discussion as to what RSS stands for but most refer to the initials as Really Simple Syndication.

Not all websites currently provide RSS, but it is growing rapidly and many others providers including the Guardian, CNN and the BBC.

How do I start using RSS feeds?

Newer browsers, including Firefox, Opera, Safari and the latest versions of Internet Explorer allow you to subscribe to RSS feeds. Most display a RSS icon near the address bar when a newsfeed is offered.

Alternatively, you canĀ install a news reader or aggregator to subscribe to RSS feeds. The follow list is of some of the more popular readers available.
