05 February 2010 Vessels arrested for illegal fuel oil transfers in Malaysian waters
It has been reported that the Malaysian authorities have arrested a number of vessels off Tanjung Paia recently for involvement in the illegal transfer of fuel oil cargoes in Malaysian Waters. To avoid potential problems of this kind Members undertaking bunkering operations in Malaysian waters should endeavour to ensure that the bunker providers are properly licensed.
