THE INTERNATIONAL GROUP OF P&I CLUBS – ANNUAL REVIEW 2011-12
As you may be aware, North is a member of the International Group of P&I Clubs, which exists to co-ordinate the operation and regulation of the Group Clubs' claim-sharing agreement (the Pooling Agreement) and to represent the views of shipowners and charterers who are Members of the Clubs on matters of concern to the shipping industry.
The Group has issued its first Annual Review which reports on the Group's activities over the year, including informing on international conventions and legislation which affect shipowners' liabilities, promoting, participating and implementing ship quality and safety standards and assisting governmental and international bodies in reviewing and drafting legislation and regulations which affect marine liabilities.
