North 150 Fund Donation to RNLI Tynemouth Lifeboat Station
The North 150 Fund has donated the sum of £3,888 to RNLI Tynemouth Lifeboat Station to fund the purchase of three full sets of personal crew kit for the offshore boat.
Tynemouth currently has two lifeboats – an D Class inshore lifeboat D693 “Mark Noble” (which has been in service since 2008) and a Severn class all weather lifeboat 17-20 “Spirit of Northumberland” (which has been in service since 1999).
The RNLI relies entirely on voluntary donations to fund the service, which costs approximately £400,000 each day to run. Tynemouth Lifeboat Station were extremely grateful for the donation and North’s continuing support for the RNLI locally.
