Stowaway / person rescued at sea questionnaire
North has produced a set of multi-lingual questionnaires to help its Members conform to International Maritime Organisation guidelines on resolving stowaway incidents. It is part of a series of initiatives by the Club to combat the continued increase in potentially difficult and costly stowaway incidents being encountered by the world's merchant shipping fleet.
The master can use the questionnaires to help him prepare and send the stowaway information required by the flag state, the authorities at the next port of call and the P&I Club. They are provided in Arabic, simplified Chinese, English, French, Portuguese and Swahili.
