Corporate Social Responsibility

North is aware of its wider social and environmental responsibilities and has a standing Corporate Social Responsibility committee which reviews its performance in this regard and reports to the Board of Directors.

The framework of the committee's work is based upon the following principles:

Workplace

  • to provide a safe and healthy working environment
  • to encourage employees to develop as individuals both within and outside of the working environment
  • to provide equal opportunity for all regardless of race or gender
  • to work with openness, honesty and integrity with employees, members and third parties


Community

  • to encourage and support initiatives within the office which aim to benefit the wider social needs of the community
  • to foster links with related industries in the local community


Environment

  • to adopt working practices which, as far as practicable, minimise an adverse impact upon the environment
